Post No.9
(4:09 p.m.) Today I am going to move back to the studio in the bedroom. It is too cold out in the garage to do any artwork. I have the table in the kitchen right now. I am waiting for Debbie to finish work before I start lugging stuff up the steps. I should have done this months ago. Perkins the cat will be happy with this move, He always did like laying on the drafting table watching me work on my art, I did miss him close by while I drew. Dylan my son sent me a video of himself playing a blues song in an email this morning. It was great to see him playing his guitar. I called and talked to Dylan and my Mom for about a half hour. (10:43p.m.) The drafting table is now upstairs. Once I had it in the room I wondered why I ever left. After a shower I spent the evening working on my art and Debbie sat on the bed reading a book. I did not do a lot today… spent most of the day waiting to take the drafting table upstairs. Taking the table up and moving things around in the bedroom left me with a lot of back pain. (The Next Day 9:06 a.m.) Debbie is at the office today…I just fixed myself a cup of coffee and sat down to listen to some music on Live365. I noticed on the main page an ad for Zappa Radio so I tuned in for a listen. Perkins is trying to lay across the keyboard, he is a master of spontaneous keyboard shortcuts. I believe I will take my coffee and head upstairs to the warm studio area to work on Dream Matter. (9:28a.m.) I am upstairs now and have tuned into Live365 to stay with the Zappa radio and have signed into wordpress so I could report any activities. I am really digging Zappa Radio. I use to listen to Zappa in the early days of doing art. The weirdness was a great influence on my art. The “Bongo Fury” album with Captain Beefheart was a favorite. (10:49a.m.) Called Mom and talked for 45 mins. I am getting a lot work done on Dream Matter today. The atmosphere upstairs for working is so much better than the garage. I have to use the PC for the internet upstairs… I have always been more of a Mac person. I guess it will just take getting use to. (12:43a.m) I spent all day working on my art as Perkins lay in the window below the table on his pillow sleeping. I am back to working as I should now. ( Photos) Entries to this blog will slow now as I begin an obsession with my work. (To view four photos of the area I am working in at this time click HERE)
