Post No.5
I have been down with a bad cold these last few days. I was not able to do too much artwork. I am over the cold but it has left me with a bad cough, especially at night when I lay down. Most nights I get up after a few mins in bed because of this cough. I have spent a lot of time signing up at artist communities online over the last few days. I am addicted to artist communities. Now I am in so many I can’t keep up with them. I tend to always over do things. This evening Debbie and I went down to Borders and I found a book about one of Debbie’s favorite artists. Remedios Varo. I bought it for her and she was very excited about it. We came home and she spent a lot of time reading about Varo’s life. I have also started building a new site for the purpose of interviewing artists. You can find a link to it in the sidebar under Steve’s Links. It is called ” The Art Symposium.” Debbie and I are both going to work on this project. My idea is to post a general statement about the artist at the site but the interview will be in pdf format which the viewer can download and read or print to enjoy offline. I also think that by using the pdf format we can put together a well designed interview package for the artist and the reader compared to posting it in a regular blog style layout. I have been goofing around with photoshop designing a poster of my family in a spaghetti western. I have had a lot of fun with this and my Dad has gotten a good laugh out of it. I plan on getting it printed and sending him a copy of it. I have spent several hours on the next Dream Matter but as always have a long way to go to finish it. So far it is very interesting. I can’t hardly wait to see what weirdness will arise from this piece.It is now 3:30 in the morning and I am starting to feel sleepy, and I would guess it shows in this blog post.
